Borgo Panigale, Italy – Ducati Corse has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the MotoGP World Championship, extending its participation through the 2026 season. The agreement, first announced in January 2021, ensures the Italian manufacturer’s continued presence in the premier class from 2022 to 2026.

This decision highlights Ducati’s deep-rooted belief in MotoGP as both a technological testbed and a global showcase for its engineering excellence. By finalizing the deal early—alongside KTM—Ducati demonstrates its strategic focus on sustained success in top-tier motorcycle racing.

Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse, stated:

“Racing is a fundamental part of Ducati, and it has been since our inception. Confirming our presence in MotoGP for the next five years ensures stability and allows us to plan our long-term strategies. MotoGP is the ideal environment to transfer our racing experience and technology directly into our production bikes.”

Since entering MotoGP in 2003, Ducati has built a rich legacy marked by technical innovation, multiple race victories, and a Riders’ World Championship with Casey Stoner in 2007. The modern Desmosedici GP continues to set benchmarks in speed and performance, proving to be a consistent front-runner.

The extended commitment coincides with evolving technical regulations that will shape MotoGP’s future. Ducati’s engineering expertise will continue to drive advancements not only for its factory outfit but also for its competitive satellite teams.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, welcomed Ducati’s decision, noting:

“Having Ducati commit to MotoGP for another five years is fantastic news for the championship. Their passion and innovation bring immense value and excitement to the sport.”

For MotoGP fans, Ducati’s ongoing participation promises continued high-octane action, innovation, and the unmistakable presence of the red Desmosedici machines leading the charge well into the future.
